After completing MBBS in 1956 from Lucknow went to the United Kingdom to gain further experience in Medicine and qualified in the diploma in Child Health, and Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and in the MRCP examination. On returning to India held important posts as Senior Specialist in CGHS, Bombay and Rourkella Steel Plant and Medical Supdt. N.D.M.C. hospital, New Delhi. In 1982 he was conferred the Fellowship of Royal College of Physician. Retired in 1991 as CMO cum Medical Adviser, Mecon, Ranchi after 20 years of service. Now a practicing senior Consultant in Medicine.

A graduate Mechanical Engineer (Gold Medallists)  of 1980 batch from Delhi College of Engineering. Took specialized training in Design Engineering from U.S.A. in 1981-1982.
Enterpreneured as Hospital Administrator by bringing in the concept of corporate hospitals in Ranchi Town. Socially active, always ready to serve the needy through various social service organizations.
